Robert John Thomas Jr., 45, of Granite City, Ill., born July 9, 1970, in Granite City, Ill., died Saturday, November 14, 2015.
Robert was a welder at CL Smith, Arnold, Mo. He loved to fish, and make things out of metal.
Surviving are his wife, Michelle Lynn, nee Bazell, Thomas Jr.; his sons, Daniel Mark Thomas, and Robert Michael Thomas of Granite City, Ill.; his parents, Robert John Thomas Sr. of Granite City, Ill., and Nora Delmar Thomas of Granite City, Ill.; his brothers, Richard J. (Tammy Crawford) Thomas of Granite City, Ill., Todd William (Elizabeth) Thomas of Marrero, La., and Lee Alan (Rachel Rutzel) Thomas; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the funeral home.

Robert TOMAS JR. He will be remembered by all family and friends, through out some good times and memories he and we all have had.If camping and fishing or having a couple drinks or a few, puff/puff passing or any other memories with us he used to do, he was a hard working man really likes to welding things together and was good with some tools, he will be missed through out the rest of our living years.
