Ronald Teachenor Obituary
Ronald "Ronnie" Teachenor, 72, of Granite City, IL, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at his home, with his loving family by his side. Ronnie was born on November 9, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Jack Teachenor and Ollie, nee Pollard, Teachenor.
Ronnie was a faithful member of West 22nd Street Baptist Church, Granite City, IL. He also enjoyed being a member of the "Slappers Club" and Masonic Lodge 877. Ronnie was a graduate of Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, MO, and he retired from Granite City Steel as a machinist after many years of dedicated service. Ronnie enjoyed dancing and traveling with his many friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whom he adored. Ronnie loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanetta Teachenor, who passed away July 2, 2009.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Donetta (Jamie) Brooks of Granite City, IL; dear sister, Norine (David Sr.) Noel of Granite City, IL; mother of Ronnie's children, Donna Claxton of Godfrey, IL; proud grandfather to Dustin (Ashley) Miller, Devon (Samantha Moerlein) Stein, Destiny Brooks and Dalton Brooks; niece, Sheila Drost; nephew, David Noel Jr.; great-nephews, Brenden Heaton, Blake Noel, Matthew Heaton and Nicholas Noel; and extended family and many friends.
Memorial donations may be given to West 22nd Street Baptist Church Food Pantry. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.
Funeral: In celebration of his life, funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL, with Rev. Keith Braddock officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
