Ruth Timphony Obituary
Ruth R. Timphony, 81, of Belleville, Ill., born March 30 1927 in Abbeville, La., died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael John Timphony Jr.; her parents, Alvin A . and Esmerelda, nee Blanchette, Richtfhofen Sr.; and two brothers, Alvin "Jr." Richthofen and Richard Richthofen.
Surviving are her loving sons, Michael John Timphony III of Robertsdale, Ala., David James Timphony of New Orleans, La., Gerry Edward Timphony of Belleville, Ill., and Terry Charles Timphony of Belle Chasse, La.; grandchildren, Jennifer R. Timphony, Lauren R. Timphony, Victoria E. Timphony and Alexandra N. Timphony; and three brothers, Roland "Bobby" Richthofen, James "Jimmy" Richthofen and David Richthofen Sr.; a host of nieces and nephews; mother-in-law of Darlene Younce, Rondelle Chifici Timphony , Corey Gee and Julia Landry.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Timphony's honor to the Helen Keller Hospital Fund, P.O. Box 610, 1300 South Mont Ave. Sheffield, Ala. 35660.
Funeral: A private family service will be held Dec. 27, 2008, at the Westside-Lietz-Eagan Funeral Home, Marrero, La.

I cannot but smile when thinking of Ms. Ruth! She was always my "Michael Street" beacon of light! My thoughts and prayers are with you all for comfort and joy to be found in her memories.

Timmy, David, Terry & Gerry,
I was sad when I heard the news about your mom's passing. I hadn't seen her in a while, but have some very good and really funny memories of Ms. Ruth.
Gerry, you did a great job of caring for her these past few years. She really deserved it. She was so very proud of all of her sons and grand daughters.
Make sure to keep her memory alive by continuing to tell your girls stories about all the crazy times yall had together.
We will keep Ms. Ruth in our prayers at this time.
