Sandra Hobbs

Sandra Kay Hobbs, nee Brumitt, 74, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Cahokia, Ill., born Tuesday, October 6, 1942, in East St. Louis Ill., died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare in Lebanon, Ill.

Sandra worked for Southern Illinois Health Care. She was a member of Bluffview Christian Center in Dupo, Ill., lifetime member of Cahokia United Methodist Church, 50 year member of Rob Morris Chapter 98 O.E.S., Al Sihah Temple 29 Daughters of the Nile, and Mother advisor of the Rainbow Girls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Omar and Lucille, nee Girard, Brumitt; great-grandson, Jacob Jones; and brother-in-law, Alvin Wittrock.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Eugene Hobbs Jr. of O'Fallon, Ill.; children: Michael (Shannon) Hobbs of Belleville, Ill., Michelle (Terry) Ohlendorf-Jones of O'Fallon, Ill; sister, Janis Wittrock of Kirkwood, Mo.; grandchildren: Dustin McCart (Fiance Stephanie Hill), Brandon Hobbs, Krystin Hobbs (Fiance Joshua Cronin), Bryan (Stephanie) Ohlendorf, Tyler Ohlendorf (Fiance Chasity Schneider), Austyn (Tori Gonzalez) Jones, and Lauryn Jones; great-grandchildren, Ian, Benjamin, Brayden, Abigale, Annabelle, Ashton, and Alaya; brothers-in-law: David (Maryann) Hobbs and Stephen (Sharon) Hobbs; sister-in-Law, Vicki (Wayne) Sheridan

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill. Eastern Star Service will be held at 11 a.m.

Services: Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 with Pastor Ron Hebel officiating. Private family interment.
