Belleville, Illinois - Scott Oin Bosick, 57 , of Belleville, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his residence Belleville, IL.
Scott was born March 3, 1964 in Belleville, IL to John D. and Doris M. (Beckner) Bosick. They preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Diane (husband, Charles) Yon and nephew, Charles O. Yon.
Scott is survived by his loving daughters, Amanda (Aaron) Barlock of Waterloo, IL and Rachel (Mike) Hoke of Sullivan, MO; his beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madison Barlock, Chloe and Brandon Hoke, and Leland and Gwen Pierce; siblings, John (Jeanne) Bosick of Belleville, IL, Linda (Steve) Manley of Belleville, IL, and David (Peggy) Bosick of Fairview Heights, IL; also his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Scott was a graduate of Belleville West High School and attended Ranken Technical College. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years.
He was a devoted and longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, IL; he cherished his church family and friends dearly. Scott's greatest joy was letting others know about the Lord and sharing the gospel with them. He often preached at local nursing homes and at Edgemont Juvenile Detention Center in Belleville, IL. He was a talented guitarist and loved to worship through playing beautiful music. His loss leaves a large void in the lives of all who knew him, but they can celebrate his life knowing he is in the arms of his beloved Lord, until they are all reunited once again.
A memorial service for Scott will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church, 405 E. Main Street, Belleville, IL, 62220. The family has entrusted Lake View Funeral Home with arrangements.
