Millstadt, Illinois - Terry L. Collins, 78 years, of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country, MO. He was born August 10, 1947, in East Saint Louis, IL.
Terry and Roxy owned Collins & Sons Flooring America in Swansea, IL., for almost 30 years. He was a member St. Paul United Church of Christ in Floraville, IL. Terry was a professional musician, playing the piano, electric organ and keyboard. He notably played with the Tiki's, Bill Heil orchestra, the Blue Satin orchestra and he played the bells in the Millstadt Community Band. Terry and Roxy enjoyed traveling, and they were very fortunate to have been able to travel to Germany, France, Ireland, England, New Zealand, and Norway and they enjoyed their home at lake of Egypt.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Roxy R. (nee Vollmer) Collins; his sons, Sean (fiancee, Sandra Barton) Collins and Ryan (Melissa) Collins; his grandchildren, Kylee Collins, Brayden Collins, Peyton Collins, Wesley Collins and Colten Collins; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Geroge and Edna (nee Heberer) Collins; his brothers, Norman Collins and William Collins; and his sister, Laura Randall.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL. Memorial service will begin at 1 p.m., with Rev. Matt Friz, officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Sandra Marie Bereitschaft Foundation Meals on Wheels, St. Paul United Church of Christ in Floraville, IL. or to St. Judes. I moved here with my husband, Jim, and I was introduced to the Collins family. They were all family friends of my in laws...Lil and Clint Beimfohr.
When I started my business, it was great to have Terry and Roxie here to welcome me and share their support to us. Always a friendly smile and positive influence, we will miss all of that. RIP

I'm so sorry to hear of this sudden loss of Terry. I have good memories of him. He was polite, kind, and gentle. Humility is the trait of a winner, an overcomer. He never put other people down, and he never bragged about himself. Terry was a good example of the Christian faith. May the Redeemer God in Heaven, Provide the soul of your faithful servant Terry thy light, abundant mercy, favor and peace. May God bless the memory of Terry Collins to his family, neighbors and friends. The memory of the just shall be blessed (Prov 10:7)

Roxy and family please accept my sympathy on Terry's passing. I remember Terry playing the keyboard for St Paul Fireside club dances. Usually held in the basement of Town House Restaurant.
I know you have many fond memories to comfort you at this time.

Not a personal message at all but I do remember my mom going to Collins for linoleum, yes that's what we called it then and carpeting. After I moved into my home in Belleville I went to their store many times to replace carpeting and now vinyl floor coverings. RIP Terry Collins you left a world of happy people.
