Timmy Simmons

Timmy Bay Simmons, 60, of New Port Richey, Fla., born July 1, 1956 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side.

Timmy previously was a Police Officer for Venice, Ill. He was employed with the Madison County Probation Dept. for 17 years. He also was employed at Boeing and was a former Police Officer in Livingston, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Maxine, nee Freeman, Simmons; mother and father in-law, Shirley and Joy Pennebaker; his sister, Marilyn Simmons; and his niece, Donnell Awalt.

Surviving are his wife, Diana; one son, Nicholas Simmons, of New Port Richey, Fla.; one daughter, Kristin Tarrants of Missouri; one granddaughter, Abbey Wallace. He is also survived by his twin brother, Jimmy Simmons, sister, Clara Awalt, and nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Pete, for all their help and support during Timmy's illness.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
