Tramell Jackson Obituary
Tramell "Mell" Jackson, of East St. Louis, Ill., born Sept. 21, 1988, in St. Louis, Mo. His birth parents are Camesha Wilborn and Eddie L. Jackson, Jr. He was adopted by his grandparents, Eddie L. and Pearlie Jackson, Sr. Tramell lived his entire life with his grandparents. He died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.
Tramell leaves to cherish memories of his life and mourn his passing: his father, Eddie (Tahji) Jackson Jr., of East St. Louis, Ill.; grandparents, Eddie and Pearlie Jackson, Sr. of East St. Louis, Ill.; great-grandparent, Jacqueline Williams of East St. Louis, Ill.; siblings, Jarvis Jackson, Eddie L. Jackson, III, Erik Jackson, Tahj Jackson and Imani Jackson; numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, a great-great-aunt and a great-great-uncle; and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at New Jerusalem Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6901 State Street, East St. Louis, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Service will begin at noon Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the church. Interment will follow immediately in the Sunset Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Millstadt, Ill.

Brother, this pain is so unreal. I try to keep a smile on my face and keep my spirits up because I know that you're brother needs me more than ever. People always say you never know how much someone means to you, until they are gone. Now I know what that really means. You were the most mellow person I knew, the only person I knew that could wake up eating cake and pies. I find myself missing even the annoying little things you used to do. It is crazy, but I know that you are smiling down on everyone and that you are in a better place.

i woke up and called your phone and it went straight to the voicemail i thought you where on the phone are something so i was waiting on you to call me back i never got that call Man i dont know how to speak on this cause i never thought my cousin would be leaving me so soon this was not suppose to happen we didnt get to celebrate our birthday together like we planned but i know he was looking down on me today as i celebrated my 20th birthday for the both us me and tramell stayed by each other no matter what the situation may have been but i know he want me to keep going and dont let this bring me down he want me to get stronger and grow from this i was just with him last weekend we spent the hold day at my house just talking about the future and how we was going to celebrate our birthday when i came home this friday but i guess god had a different plan and i know god did what was best but its hard just knowing im not going to see him are talk to him nomore it hurts me so much but im going to make sure you are never forgotting and im going to see you again one day until we meet again rest in peace to my cousin Tramell ill always miss you and i dont worry cause i know you with me everyday(R.I.P Cuzz)Jarvis keep yo head up you know mell dont want to see us down

You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of Tramell. Although he wasn't in one of my classes at E. Side, there are some students who just stand out among a crowd. Tramell was one of those students. He could always make you laugh and I'm sure he is in heaven putting smiles on a lot of faces. I had the pleasure of having Tramell in my class at East Side Senior High about 3 years ago. Many students I have forgotten over the years but Tramell and his big smile left a lasting impression in my memory. There were so many days that he made me laugh when the day was going so rough. I am very happy that I ran into Tramell one last time a few months ago and I got to introduce him to my family. He will always be remembered as one of my most kind students who greeted me with a warm hug even after graduating and leaving school.
