Valri Odom Obituary
Born on January 13, 1959, to Cordell, "Corky" & Erna (Studnicka) Knepper, she grew up to be an adventurous and compassionate person, always bringing joy to those around her. Valri served her country in the Navy & Air Force Reserve, flying medical air lift in & out of Cuba. She was also the first woman air traffic controller at Lambert International Airport. Val retired after a 30-year career from Miami International Airport. She loved music, bowling, travel and spending time with her beloved animals, "BJ", an African spurred tortoise, "Tiki," a blue & gold macaw, "Molly" a white cockatoo & "Jake" her rescue Pitbull.
Valri was preceded by her parents, maternal grandparents, Ernst & Rose (Lapka) Studnicka, paternal grandparents, Albert & Mary (Pfeiffer) Knepper.
She leaves behind her loving family: husband, Calvin Storey, son, Keith (Elizabeth) Warren, sister, Vicki (Michael) Stasko, grandsons, Jackson & Lincoln Warren, nephews, Kyle (Melany) Thien, Elliott (Devon) Stasko & niece, Julie Stasko (Mathew) Ranken. Valri chose cremation. A celebration of her incredible life will be private. Rest easy, dear sister-you will never be forgotten.

Vicky, Keith and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Val was always such a lively fun person. She is going to soon. We had so many years running around together. Although I moved away in 79 we still kept in touch. She will be missed. I will always remember her laugh. Hope she is in a better place. Sharing a picture of us at Rico's... Maybe she can say hello to Wendy and Anna.
