Brian Gillies Obituary

Brian Keith Gillies

November 28, 1971 - December 20, 2024

South Bend, Washington - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Keith Gillies, age 53, who left this world on December 20, 2024. Brian was a beloved husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence touched the lives of all who knew him.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cliff and Sally Gillies, and Robert Scott, and his uncle Bob Scott. He leaves behind his wife, Linah Maighacho Gillies; parents Don and Debbie Gillies; sister Jamie Howell; niece Emily Howell; and nephew Ethan Howell. He also leaves behind his grandparents Bill and Pat Greenhalgh, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his large extended Kenyan family, who meant the world to him. Brian's family both near and far, will always cherish the memories of his kindness, humor, wisdom, and generosity of spirit.

A dedicated and driven individual, Brian enjoyed a diverse and successful career. He was a phenomenal salesman, a respected real estate agent, a compassionate owner of an adult family home, and an accomplished broker. His work was not just a job but a way to connect with people and make a lasting impact on their lives. His passion for his careers was only rivaled by his love for the outdoors, gardening, and time spent with family. Whether it was gardening, golfing, or simply being outside, Brian found joy in the natural world and in the company of those he loved.

Brian leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, wisdom, and friendship. He will be missed by so many, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held on January 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Marysville United Methodist Church. All are welcome to join the family in remembering a man who gave so much and will never be forgotten.

To the Gillies family, shocked to hear of Brians passing. Such a pleasant person to be around. He was real good with my young sons Luke and Adam when we lived next door. Our prayers are with you all the Gillies clan. Such sad news God bless you all.
