Birch Bay, Washington - With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Carll Ann Strader, who left us on January 11, 2025. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep loyalty, and a heart that beat for the people and places she loved.

Born in Olympia, Washington, on March 15, 1960, Carll Ann spent much of her life behind the microphone as a disc jockey, sharing music and stories with her listeners. She began her radio career in 1985 at KMAS in Shelton and continued her passion for broadcasting for decades. She even met the love of her life, Allan, through the radio industry, a connection that brought her immense joy, even if their time together was too short. Her final time on the air was at KISM in Bellingham in 2015, though she remained part of the industry, working in administrative roles for Cascade Radio Group. Around this same time, she began a new chapter with Erin Baker's, where she worked until her illness. There, she found what became a second family, making her time at the bakery especially meaningful.

Carll Ann had a deep love for travel, with Hawaii holding a special place in her heart. The beach was where she felt most at homealways bringing her peace no matter where life took her. She was the kind of person you could trust with anything. She listened with an open heart, without judgment, and was always willing to do whatever she could for those she loved. She was smart, sarcastically funny, and had a straightforward way of seeing the worldnever afraid to say things as they were.

Above all, Carll Ann was deeply devoted to her family. With nine nieces and nephews, she took her role as an aunt to heart, always ready to offer advice, share a laugh, or simply be there when it mattered most. She leaves behind her mother, Glenda, four siblings, and a circle of family and friends who will forever miss her wit, kindness, and unwavering love.

In honor of her memory, the family encourages you to enjoy a good cup of coffee or take a walk by the oceanshe would have loved that.
