Very sorry to hear about Fred. We enjoyed seeing him at Hildabob's Gallery in Winthrop during our many years of sharing art with Bob and Hilda.I remeber that Fred was so optimistic and energetic. What a grat person. We send our sympathy and condolences.

Gina and I are saddened to hear about the passing of Ted. He was and is a legend in our family and certainly one of the great hits of the Ray Family Reunions. He will be missed. He certainly cannot be replaced.

JoAnn;
We were so saddened to hear of Fred's passing. What a wonderful man he was. We are going to miss him. Please know that our love and prayers are with you. Richard is out of town but I will be heading over to Winthrop on Friday so I can attend the memorial service there.

Mark and Erin Schlichting

We met Ted, and had gotten to know him, through our good friend JoAnn Roe, Mark's "Big Sister" (explanation to come later...). Ted was an amazing man with a very sensitive grasp on nature and humanity, and he was able to very eloquently place that sensitivity into his art. When we visited their home we would view his paintings, hanging all over the house-- in the living room, hallway, or bedroom. Ted's pieces created scenes so stunning that one could feel they were THERE, as part of the image! Ted is an "artist's artist," up there with the likes of Charlie Russell and Frederic Remington, and he will be sorely missed by those of the past, present, and future who cherish, or will soon come to cherish, his works. "You have made an impact on the world, Ted. Now, Rest In Peace.. -- Mark and Erin Schlichting (JoAnn and Mark first connected in 1985 through the Bellingham Sister Cities Organization, and the connection with Tateyama, Japan. She is Mark's "Big Sister"-- not literally-- and Mark is her "Little Brother"... titles ascribed to a few years difference in their ages.)
