Fred stayed at the Midtowner Motel in the late 1980's when I worked the front desk. He always left me with advice that he had given his daughters....... "when you are dating keep your feet in a bucket" and to this day I still laugh and remember that twinkle in his eye as he liked to kid with me. What a lovely man he was, and I hope he left his family with wonderful memories, he certainly made a wonderful imprint on my life.

I will miss Fred's humor, the way his eyes always had a spark of humor.

Uncle Fritz was always that favorite uncle. Lots of fun and very kind to me. Really enjoyed all those card games, and remember Fritz "Steve Brodie took a chance."

Uncle Fred was one of the best people I have even known. He treated my aunty so well over the years. Spent lots of time with them over the years and we always had great laughs. You will be missed and you were loved by many.

Bettye, I hope you will remeber me. was your teller at Horizon Bank until 2003. I LOVED when you and Fred came in, sometimes for no reason. Loved the hugs. It really made my day.
My husband and I moved to California in 2004 to get a little sunshine. After I was terminated for my attitude, the people I missed most were the two of you!!
I still really miss those times. You are the greatest couple!
Our blessings for you and your family and may you know we think about you often.

Blessings, Pam

I HAD THE PLEASURE TO WORK FOR FRED FROM 1974 1997 AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CAN SAY BEYOND A DOUBT THAT HE WAS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL IN WHAT HE DID OVER THOSE YEARS, HARD WORKING, AND AN HONEST PERSON. HE WAS AN EXCELLENT TEACHER AND ABOVE ALL A TRUE FRIEND. THE FUNERAL PROFESSION AND THE COMMUNITY HAS LOST A GOOD PERSON. I'LL SEE YOU DOWN THE ROAD FRED AND ONCE AGAIN WE CAN "REMEMBER WHEN".
