Grace Killam Obituary

Grace Elizabeth (Feltren) Killam was born to Frank and Elsie Feltren, the sixth of seven children (George, Clelia, Ralph, Viola, Roland and Pat). On September 14, 1929 in New Westminster, B.C. Canada. She grew up and attended school in Clayburn, B.C. Grace on February 5, 1955, married Herbert Killam, a Sumas Jersey Dairy Farmer and together they raised a family on their farm. Grace loved flowers and spent many hours working in her gardens. Her family was very important to her and she was a much loved mother and grandmother. Grace is survived by her husband Herbert of sixty years; children Gene Killam of Sumas, Candace (Galen) Laird of Lynden, Gale Killam of Sumas, Cheri (Keith) Killam-Bomhard of Alabama; along with her grandchildren Kyle Laird of Lynden and Jeff(Renee) of Everson. Grace was a member of the Sumas Advent Christian Church for 60 years where she enjoyed helping and being a part of a caring church family. A Graveside Committal will be 1:15 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Sumas Cemetery followed by a 2:00 pm Memorial Service Sumas Advent Christian Church 125 Front St., Sumas with a reception following. Memorials may be made to Sumas Advent Christian Church. You are invited to share your condolences and memories in the online guestbook at www.gilliesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lynden.
