James A. "Papa" Rundquist

Jimmy was born on 01/26/1936 in Bellingham and passed peacefully at home on 10/14/2017. He was raised in Bellingham by his foster mother Aslaug Haugness. He was in the Airforce where he received the bronze star. Jimmy retired from being a long shoreman at the age of 65. He spent his retired days playing pulltabs with "his boy" Gordie Farmer at The Waterfront Tavern. Jimmy is preceded in death by his foster mother, his biological parents, his foster brother Norvil and foster sister Helena. He is preceded in death by his foster sister Blanche of Santa Barbara, many nieces and nephews and his family at The Waterfront Tavern who referred to him as "Papa". A celebration of life will be held Saturday November 11,2017 at the Waterfront Tavern from 4:30 to 7:30. 521 W Holly St.
