Jane Ellen DeNeui

March 1, 1962 - August 24, 2024

Bellingham, Washington - Jane went home to her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2024 at Whatcom Hospice House, after a sudden recurrence of ovarian cancer.

Jane has been a life-long resident of Bellingham, WA (BHS class of '79) , a 40+ year devoted employee at SPIE, and she attended Immanual Bible Church and NW Baptist, singing in choir over many years.

Jane was preceded in death by parents David and Gladys DeNeui.

She is survived by siblings Ann (Gary) Moore and Aaron (Brenda) DeNeui; nieces and nephews Nicole (Joshua) Burdick, Jacob (Tera) DeNeui, Josiah DeNeui (Cecilia) and Kerstin DeNeui. Jane is also loved by her grandnieces and grandnephew, Abby, Andy, Anwyn and Ember.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Northwest Baptist Church, 3545 NW Avenue, Bellingham, Wash.

We are saddened to hear of your sister's passing from this life but celebrating her faith that she is now safely home with our Lord. May God's peace and presence surround you all. Jane was one of those special friends that you might not see for a long while, and then, when you re-connect, the warmth was immediate. She and the DeNeui family are the best kind of people to know. The last time that I saw Jane, we bumped into each other at a local restaurant and soon were laughing over shared memories. I was not surprised when my 92 year old mother told me that Jane would often sit with her at church. She was that kind of person. I was so sorry to hear of her passing.

Jane was a very solid contributor to the success of SPIE over many years. She was unflappable but had a great sense of humor and an occasional hint of "divilment". She was an enthusiastic participant in many sports, and I remember her faithful participation in the annual Jingle Bell run/walk. I regret she left the world much too early, but am very grateful for her contributions and support over the years I worked at SPIE

I was blessed to have gone to Bellingham High school with Jane, I always enjoyed her at class reunions and her desire to keep in touch with all of the class of 1979 classmates and being our class historian. My dear Douglas went to Parkview with Jane and has fond memories of her sweetness also... Love & Sympathy to your family.

I knew Jane as part of the family. She was always at our family gathering being friends with the Collins (Jamie and Joey) she always had a big smile when she was around for family gatherings.. Rest In Peace you are a angel in heaven

I am deeply condolences for the family. This all came on too quickly! Jane was a wonderful person and had many hobbies to playing volleyball,softball and playing games. She and I became friends in the 80's at church. She always had a quick wit and come back to something you said. She always put herself out to help others and check on people. Years had gone by and we had kinda gone our separate paths, but,it was always so good to see Jane when I did, with a Diet Pepsi in her hand! Years had past and I had started a street ministry and got a surprise check from Jane for $150.00 contribution. That was a lot for her being single, and it blessed my heart for her doing something like that! It very much surprised me and brought tears to my eyes!
Just recently, when I just saw her in the hospital, she had a quick wit to a remark and made us all laugh.
We will see each other again and Jane has a special place in our hearts!!
