To the man who introduced me to Karl Marx and the Monthly Review. Kaye was my best friend and mentor when I taught at Fairhaven in 1970~2.. He kept me moderately sane. I have never forgotten him and I honor his memory.

I knew Kaye in the 1970s when I taught at Fairhaven College We lived across rhe street from one another and became very god friends. It was with Kaye and our mutual friend Lenny Helfgott, along with several graduate students, that I first read Marx's Capital, an event that shaped my life both intellectually and politically. I will miss Kaye and I hope his memory lives on in the lives of others the way it does in mine.
