Lynden, Washington - Our angel, Kailia Posey, went to be with the Lord on May 2nd, 2022. Kailia was born on April 19th, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Marcy Gatterman. Kailia touched the hearts of many during her short life. She is remembered for her sweet and outgoing personality, and how she cared about everyone she met.
Kailia was passionate about performing and entertained audiences across the globe with her exuberant showmanship. She is best known by many for her years of competition in the pageant circuit, and for her stunning talent as a contortionist. Her most recent accomplishments include competing in the Miss Teen Washington pageant in February, finishing as second runner-up, and being selected to be a football cheerleader next fall at Lynden High School.
Kailia is survived by her mother Marcy (Steve) Gatterman of Lynden, father Greg Posey of Bellingham, brothers Kyle Parker (Bonnie Messenger) of Wichita, Kansas, Kai Posey, Dane Gatterman, and Davis (Faith) Gatterman of Lynden, Nick Posey of Bellingham, grandmother Donna (Michael) Schoeller of Branson Missouri, great-grandmother Belle Rhoads of Branson, Missouri, aunts Mary (Blair) Shields of McKinney, Texas and Georgia Luz of Branson, Missouri, and cousins Macy Luz, Landon Luz, Lola Belle Shields, and Irish Shields.
A life as amazing as Kailia's is deserving of a special celebration. A public celebration of life will be held at North County Christ the King Church in Lynden, Washington on Saturday, May 14th at 11:00am.

KAILIAAAAA!!!!! i never knew you personally but i remeber watching your tik toks in around 2021 and then i had to delete tik tok and i was so sad i couldn´t watch you anymore on tik tok and then i found out you passed away i was devastated and couldn´t stop crying! you were such a beautiful girl with the brightest future ahead of you! i miss you Kailia! i love you so much! rip babes!

Even though i do not know you personally, ive been a fan since the beginning. You always stuck out to me and whenever i hear about the show i think of you. I think about how amazing and perfect you are and how i always hoped my daughter is exactly like you. You are an inspiration and role model and tbh i cannot believe this has happened(i refuse to believe). You were the one i always looked forward to seeing what you were doing next. I feel like i know you and i just wish i could have helped in any way possible. To Marcey: my heart goes out to you, i just want you to know that me and my daughter love still watching your daughter on tv. We will never understand but know that even a stranger cries and cares so much for Kailia and this still effects me on a weekly basis. I am forever a fan of both of you, forever in my thoughts, prayers, and my heart.

We are so deeply saddened to hear about Kailia's passing. I will always remember her as that little girl that would come to school with her brother in kindergarten. My heart is so heavy over this tragic loss. My prayers are with your family.
