Marie Carter

1948 - 2025

Marie was a dedicated wife to Rich Carter in their home at La Quinta, CA for 12 years. She leaves behind her husband and 3 sons: Ralph Watson (deceased), Mark Watson, and Dan Watson. She also leaves behind grandchildren from all three of her sons. She also leaves behind her sister Ida Johnston and brother Chuck Abbott.

Marie lived in Anchorage Alaska for many years and survived the big earthquake. She worked as a flight dispatcher at Anchorage International. She lived there from her teenage years until she moved to Bellingham, WA in 1989 with her husband Rich.

Marie resided in Bellingham, WA from 1989 until 2013 when she moved to California after retiring from PeaceHealth in Bellingham. She worked as a unit coordinator and made many friends while at PeaceHealth and loved her job.

She fought two different cancers, never complained or asked, why me?

There will be a celebration of life at her home in La Quinta, CA in the late spring of 2026. The celebration will be a hybrid of live participants at her home and online for those of her friends that cannot attend.
