February 26, 1924 - November 24, 2025
Bellingham, Washington - A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, Dec. 11, at St. James Presbyterian Church (910 14th St. Bellingham). A graveside service with military honors will follow at Bayview Cemetery. All are welcome to a reception at Bellingham Yacht Club (2625 S. Harbor Loop Dr.) the same day at 1:00pm.

We are so sorry to hear of Dr. Rinne's passing. It was a true privilege to know him. My Mother Dorothe Rawls worked for him for years. Then she was followed by our dear friend Nancy Jones. For Dr Rinne's family, Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Mike and Linda Rawls

Dr. Rinne was the most wonderful surgeon. One of a kind. Excellent mentor. Went home for lunch most every day. If a nurse needed to talk to him, we would call his home, his wife would answer, and get Dr Rinne for us. He encouraged nurses to think.....I recall as a young nurse, I called him-`Dr Rinne, my patient is in pain´. He said "young lady-you have judgement-how much do you think we should give her?" At first I was scared to death, then I realized he respected my assessment and training, and was being inclusive rather than just barking out orders. I learned many things from this treasure of a person. Condolences to his family, and the entire community.
