Everson, Washington - Our beloved father grew his wings and soared into heaven. Dad enjoyed his home in Long Beach, WA where he and his wife attended Peninsula Baptist Church. He lived a life filled with love of family and friends. His greatest accomplishment is his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who he loved and adored. Dad served in the United States Coast Guard just out of high school and got his degree in Aeronautic Technology. Most his life he drove truck up in the hills of Whatcom, Skagit and Clatsop County where he made lifelong friends who dubbed him the handle "Beagle". He also spent time under the big rig hood maintaining them. Dad loved to cook and made the best grub money can buy. He enjoyed studying the word of God, fellowshipping and serving others. He always had time for coffee, a story and to catch up on life. His absence will be deeply felt. Dad leaves behind his brother Robert W. Reed, sister's Shelly (Kent) Butenschoen and Brenda Longton. His children Dawn (Craig) Parker, Shannon (Eric) Schildt, Niki (Dennis) Shannon, Aaron Reed, Heather (Tracy) Reed, Christine (Zac) Fisher, Holly (Lonnie) Moore-Johnson, Jason (Lori) Snow, Heather (Tony) Zender, Sara (Mike) Olen, Hannah (Crystal) Burdett. His grandchildren Ashley (Brett) West, Jerika (Scott) King, Nykein (Tyler) Healy, Kristena (Josh) Huck, Mikka (Phillip) Oliveto, Nakasha (Chris) Kelly, Malakai Shannon, Braxton Shannon, Braeden Shannon, Lindsey Reed, Jayden Reed, Nicholas Reed, Ella Fisher, Mia Fisher, Amanda (Rey) Marques, Jazz Parks, Alden Ramel, Zoey Parks, Izaiah Custer and Elah Parks-Burdett. His great grandchildren Kai-Lynn Gwinner, Olivia King, Siegfried Oliveto, Raphael Oliveto, Anthony Figueroa, Damian Kelly, Rylan Kelly, Leo Marques, Aubrey Marques. Friends Randy Graham, Rich Whitaker. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad was proceeded in death by his lovely wife Carol (Salmon), his parents Robert G. and June (Pierce) Reed, his brother Richard W. Reed and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Service will be held July 19, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Sumas Advent Christian Church, 125 Front St, Sumas, WA 98295.
