Walter Olmstead Obituary
May 1, 1935 - April 27, 2024
Mesa, Arizona - Walter Barry Olmstead, born on May 1, 1935, left his earthly home on April 27, 2024. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1953. He served in the Army and Navy, and most of his career was in Navy Civil Service as an electronics technician at Whidbey Island Naval Station in Oak Harbor, Washington. He met his wife in 1956 and later married on May 24, 1963. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Marie Bockover Olmstead. He is survived by his three daughters, Traci (Daran) Smith of Mesa Arizona, Tammi (Jerry) Walden of Keota Oklahoma, and Kathi (Larry) Warren of Monroe Washington, five granddaughters, two grandsons, seven great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson. Services will be held at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham Washington in June, 2024.
