Beloit, WI - Bruce A. Cruse, 77, of
Beloit, WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 20, 1948 in Sparta, WI, the son of Arthur William and Ruby Ester (Adams) Cruse. Bruce was a 1967 graduate of South Beloit High School. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the United States Army. Bruce was a Disabled American Veteran. He married Deborah A. Demrow on October 3, 1970 in Faith Lutheran Church, South Beloit, IL, with a candle light wedding ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Bruce started his working career at Walgreens Restaurant in the Beloit Mall as a cook and assistant manager, he then worked at Beatrice Foods, now known as Kerry Foods, and retired from Dean Foods in Rockford, IL after more than 30 years. Bruce was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran and later became a member of Faith Lutheran Church in South Beloit, IL. He and Deborah enjoyed traveling to Germany in 2000, visiting Berlin and Paris on the high-speed train, going to the Wisconsin Dells, House on the Rock, and Great America. Bruce and Deborah hosted 8 exchange students throughout the years. He was a coach and umpire for Girl Scouts Softball as well as a Den Leader for Cub Scouts. Bruce was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Beloit, WI; grandson, Makaih Cruse; brothers, Orland (Linda) Cruse, Spencer Cruse, David Cruse and Richard Cruse; God daughters, Cindy (Phillip) McGee of Missouri, DeAnna Cruse of Janesville, WI, Lisa Cruse of Janesville, WI, and Alexis Haenel of
Beloit, WI; sister-in-law, Pam (Butch) Demrow Clifton; brother-in-law, Charles Demrow; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; son, James Allan Cruse; brother, Arthur Cruse; sister, Deborah Cruse Richardson; infant sister, Cindy Cruse; in-laws, Robert and Mary Demrow; sisters-in-law, Georgeanna Cruse, Betty Cruse, and Janie Cruse; brother-in-law, Walter "Bud" Richardson. A Funeral Service for Bruce will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1305 Blackhawk Blvd., South Beloit, IL, with Pastor JoAnna Patterson and Chaplin Dennis Richards co-officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church.
