Alan J. Finzer, 85, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, at the Albany Medical Center. He resided on Maple Hill Road in Shaftsbury, Vt. Alan was the husband of the late Patricia (Myers) Finzer.
Alan was born on December 20, 1935, in Hoosick Falls, NY, son of the late John and Eleanor (McClure) Finzer. He was a Tool & Die Maker by trade and a perfectionist at everything he did. Alan was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his son Allen Finzer of Eagle Bridge, NY, his sister Andra Wheeler of Hazlet, NJ, sister-in-law Gail Morin of Hoosick Falls, NY, granddaughter Britta Main also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, September 18 at 2:00 pm in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Shaftsbury, VT. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen and Molly McGovern Memorial Fund through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls who are handling the arrangements.
