Andre F. LaRoche

1937-2014 BENNINGTON Andre F. LaRoche, 76, a resident of Grove St. in Bennington died Sunday June 15, 2014 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Bennington, Vt. September 5, 1937. He was the son of the late Joseph and Irene Betit LaRoche. He received his early education at Sacred Heart School and was a graduate of Bennington High School. He later graduated from St. Joseph's Business College in Bennington He married the former Joan Barnhardt September 27, 1957 in Pownal, Vt. In earlier years Andre was employed at the A&P and BenMont Paper Company. For 39 years he was employed at Tansitor Electronics from which he retired. He was a former member of the Bennington Moose Lodge and the Bennington Eagles. He enjoyed all sports, especially liked playing golf and was a NASCAR and New York Giant fan. He also enjoyed walking. Survivors include his wife, Joan M. LaRoche of Bennington; his children, Lureen George and her husband Scott of Hoosick Falls, New York, Joseph LaRoche of Bennington, Paula LaRoche of Colorado Springs, Colorado, James LaRoche and his wife, Cheryl of Bennington and Jeff LaRoche and his wife, Paula of Bennington; five grandchildren, Erica, Casie, Michael, Jacob and Samantha; three great grandchildren, Grace, Sawyer and Avery; three brothers, Robert LaRoche of Montana, Richard LaRoche of Manchester and Paul LaRoche of Bennington along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Leo and Francis LaRoche and two sisters, Martina Maloney and Claire Regini. At the request of Mr. LaRoche the visitation and funeral will be private. The burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. If friends desire contributions in memory of Andre F.
