Dale Zindman Kolenberg BENNINGTON Dale passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 in Bennington, Vt. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was raised on Long Island and graduated from Oceanside High School in 1968. Dale met her former husband, Michael Kolenberg, while attending Boston University. She and Michael moved to Petersburgh, N.Y., where Dale began working as an artist. Her life was a beautiful expression of her creativity and talents. First as a potter, then as a newspaper writer/reporter and also as an entrepreneur, Dale was not afraid to try something new. Later in her life, she discovered a passion for drawing. Dale spent the most wonderful years of her life as a beloved mother of three. A doting and dedicated mother, she was very involved with every aspect of their upbringing, including their education. She frequently volunteered her time to participate in school activities. Dale's gregarious and generous personality touched the lives of many. She was well known in the community for her service and dedication to improving the lives of others. Dale will especially be remembered for her efforts as a peace activist. She leaves her three children, Ethan Kolenberg, Sara Kolenberg and Jared Kolenberg, her beloved grandson Liam Kolenberg, her sister, Elaine Zindman, brother, Alan Zindman, and her three cats Moshe, Maggie and Luna.
