Daniel Boorse Obituary

Daniel J. Boorse Jr., "Big Dan", "Dusty", of Hoosick Falls, NY passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Daniel was born on December 23, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA to Daniel and Nellie Boorse. Daniel sought to make a name for himself, and he more than accomplished this goal. He would go on to begin a career in industrial cleaning and sanitation. Daniel worked across the Tristate Area in this field.

Daniel was full of spunk and character; he would drive with his knees as a joke - "no hands!", take outdoor baths, grow his own stevia and call it "Skeeviah", swerve for the white poodle on Route 7 - "it was a white plastic grocery bag"! He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Esther Boorse; his daughters, Athena Boorse, Danielle Boorse, and Elizabeth Boorse; his son Daniel J. Boorse III; his grandchildren Hunter Stevens, Emmalynn Wilcock, Elliot Wilcock, and Amelia Boorse; his sisters Alice Gatto and Marianne Fisher; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Daniel is predeceased by his parents, Daniel J. Boorse, Sr., and Nellie Boorse.

No services will be held at this time. If friends desire, the family asks that any contributions be sent to the Harvest Christian Ministries located at 945 Main Street in Bennington, VT - as well as Eden Brothers located at 2099 Brevard Rd., Arden, NC.
