In her free time, Doris enjoyed playing cards with friends and especially loved the time tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She continued to garden into her elder years as long as she was able. Mr. Depew died in 1984. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Jay Depew of Old Town, Maine; her daughter, Jill Depew of Rutland; also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Jones.

The funeral will be held at the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert, followed by a graveside service of committal in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Dorset at a time to be announced in the next issue of this paper. The Reverend Dr. James Hopkins Grey, pastor of the church, will officiate the services. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 29, 7 to 9 p.m. at Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester.
