1947-2013 BENNINGTON Jeannette Y. Alvarado, age 65, a resident of Andre Lane in Bennington died on Thursday, July 25, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on September 28, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Benoit Dechene and Pauline (Courture) Dechene who survives_ She received her education in Bennington.

She married Fernando Alvarado in Massachusetts. Mr. Alvarado survives. For several years Jeannette had resided in Massachusetts, and then moved back to Vermont Jeannette had been a machine operator at Mace for several years. She enjoyed flea markets and was very faithful to her church.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her children: Tina Harding and her husband Michael of Bennington, Yvette Forrett and her fiance Jim Shippee of Vernon, Vermont, Renee Perry of East Hampton, MA, and her step-son Fernanado Alvarado, Jr. of Puerto Rico. She leaves her sister Pierrette Smith and her husband, Wade of Lanesville New York, and her brother Richard Dechene and his wife Renee also of Lanesville, New York.

Jeannette has ten grandchildren; Joshua, Pauline, Amanda, Elizabeth, Eileen, Angel, Jennifer, Samantha, Timothy, and Preston. She alo leaves her great grandchildren: Mattison, Emma, Tanner, Serenidy, Caleb, and Trenton as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Cindy Bishop, her isiter Annette Goslin, and her step-father Benoit Dechene.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 27, 2013 at 4:00PM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, Vermont Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00PM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in Jeannette's memory may be made to the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, Vermont 05201, in support of her family.
