1953-2013 MANCHESTER CENTER Katherine L. Sessions, 60, a resident of Main Street in Manchester Center, passed away Monday September 16, 2013 at Albany, New York Medical Center. Katherine was born in Townshend, Vermont on September 5, 1953 the daughter of the late Ahial and Frances (Shattuck) Crandall. She attended school in Peru, Vermont, graduating from Burr & Burton Seminary. Katherine worked at Manchester Elementary and Middle School as the assistant to the Principal. She enjoyed making crafts, reading and was an unpublished book writer. She loved to sew, enjoyed listening to old country music, Elvis, enjoyed her home and cherished times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Katherine is survived by her husband James Sessions of Manchester Center whom she married at the Peru Congregational Church on July 11, 1971, her children Jeanette Sessions of Manchester Center and Helen-Ruth Pendlebury and her husband Peter of North Bennington, her brothers Almon Crandall and his wife Linda of Weston, Vermont and William Crandall and his wife Terry of Peru, Vermont her grandchildren Jeremiah, Christopher and Brady, step-sister Melinda, step brother Jeff and many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Crandall. The family will receive friends Friday evening September 20, 2013 from 4-6pm at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont. Interment will be private. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Katherine's memory may be made to The Kind Fund, Friends of MEMS or to the education charity of one's choice.
