Malcolm Townsend Obituary
1948-2014 PETERSBURGH, NY Malcolm F. Townsend, 65, passed away on Tuesday, July 8 at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bennington, Vermont. He resided on the Petersburgh Junction Road in Petersburgh. Malcolm was born on January 16, 1948 in Bennington, Vt., son of the late Floyd Townsend and Florence Burch Townsend. Malcolm attended H.F.C.S and was employe at several area farms. He enjoyed fishing and bike riding. Survivors include his sisters Sally Webster and her husband, Bob, Peggy Morin and her husband, Tom, all of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Judy LaFond of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Joyce Ellsworth and her husband, Bill of Easton, N.Y., Jeanette Chaffee and her husband, Norm of Pownal, Vt., Nancy Coulter and her husband, Ed of Pownal, Vt. and Molly Labonte and her husband, Don of Petersburgh, N.Y. Malcolm is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday from the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Burial will follow the service at Hoosick Rural Cemetery, Hoosick, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center through the funeral home.

Sally and family sorry for the loss of your brother Malcolm he was a fine man and I will always remember his great smile and always greeting everyone he saw while riding his bike all over the area. We had lots of fun over at the junction in the early days and God has gained another happy soul today. God Bless You Malcolm
