Lynda Martin Obituary

Lynda Sue Martin, age 70, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1953 at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri to Elwyn D. "Tommie" and Geneva Love Martin. She grew up in the Warsaw area and graduated from Warsaw High School, class of 1971.
Lynda worked at Bishops Gunstock and later Fajens Gunstock for a total of twenty-nine years. After they closed, she went to work at Osage Valley Bank and then at Hawthorn Bank until her retirement.
Lynda cherished life's simple joys, finding solace in the pages of a good book or the flavors of a good meal. She had a green thumb and enjoyed working in the yard and with her flowers. Whether soaking up the sun on a 'girls day' out on the lake or sharing stories over lunch with retired bank colleagues, she cherished the company of friends. Lynda was an honest and true friend, a great mother, and an avid Chiefs fan.
Lynda is survived by her daughter Jacque Sulsberger and her husband Steve of Warsaw; step-grandchild Ethan Sulsberger and his wife Sabrina of Warsaw and their children Marlowe and Elias, three brothers; Dennis Martin and his wife Kathy, of Granada Hills, California, Gary Martin and his wife Mary of Warsaw, Missouri and Terry Martin and his wife Brenda of Bonaire, Georgia; three nephews; Brian, Joe, and Tom, two nieces; Lisa and Kelly, four great nephews, a great niece, four cousins; Vicki Ollison, Cheryl Waisner, Carolyn Franks, Diane Williams; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of her life will be held by the family at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2024 at the American Legion Hall in Warsaw with visitation to follow until 4:00 P.M.
