Marianne England Obituary
Marianne was born on June 9, 1941 to Rev. Chalmer and Charlotte Westhoff. She was baptized on June 29, 1941 and confirmed on April 3, 1955, both by her father. She graduated from St. John's High School in Winfield, KS 1959. After high school, she worked at Kansas City Life, and through mutual friends, she met William (Bill). They were married on May 12, 1962. Unto this union, 5 children were born and raised, living almost 20 years in the Kansas City area before settling in Warsaw for the last 44 years together.
Marianne was a housewife, provided childcare in her home for family and friends, and worked as a seamstress, before retiring in 2011. During retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling with Bill, sewing and crocheting, gardening, baking and watching the St. Louis Cardinals on TV. As a devoted Lutheran and member of Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw, she served on several boards and committees, and taught Sunday School and VBS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Westhoff, her brother-in-law Wilmer England, her sister-in-law Wanda Byrd, and a grandson Dakota England.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill; children Karen England, Bill England (Melissa Hayes), James England (Heather), Sharon Adams (Ryan), Erin Hubert (Matthew); 12 grandchildren Stacey, Paige (Corey), Brittany (Brian), Lisa (John), (Sarah), Cheyenne, Cree, Lane, Levi, Chance, Ashton (Myron), Jase, Peyton; 12 great-grandchildren Jackson, Colton, Emma, Grace, Marissa, Ashlynn, Santana, Szandor, Eli, Paisley, Vivianna, Luke; her sister Charlotte Neher, her brother Richard Westhoff, sister-in-laws Wilda Pitts (Keith), (Sondra England), brother-in-law Roy England (Vernette), several nieces nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on October 26th, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Benton County Hospice, or Phil's Friends.
