Troy Bartley Obituary

Lieutenant Colonel Troy E. Bartley, aged 57, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. He was born on July 4, 1966, in Alton, Illinois, the son of Oliver Ready and Geraldine Bensa.
Troy spent his formative years in California and graduated from Chaffey High School. He furthered his education at Loma Linda University, earning his bachelor's degree, and later pursued his master's degree at the University of Central Missouri.
Troy dedicated his career to serving his country, both in civilian and military capacities. He was employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City and served in the United States Army since enlisting in 2003.
On May 9, 2011, he was united in marriage to Theresa Speidel. Together, they made their home in Lincoln, where Troy previously served as Mayor. He was actively involved in his community as a member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge and the Lincoln VFW Post.
Troy had a passion for coaching youth sports, particularly softball, and officiated youth baseball, softball, and football.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Bartley, of the home; his daughters, Destiyni Speidel of Sedalia, Missouri, and Kindle Bartley of Lincoln; his devoted mother, Geraldine Carver, of Lincoln; his brother, Brian Bartley, also of Lincoln; and his father, Oliver Ready, of Grafton, Illinois.
Funeral Services for LTC Troy E. Bartley will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri. Visitation will be held Friday evening March 1, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will follow the visitation at 8:00 P.M. Interment and Military Rites will follow the funeral at the Lincoln Cemetery.
