Walter Fergerson Obituary
Jim was born on August 4, 1944, in Warsaw, the son of Homer Charles Fergerson and Marie Pauline (Heizman) Fergerson. He grew up in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School. He later moved to Windsor, where he worked at the International Shoe Factory.
In 1965, Jim was united in marriage to Janice Brown, and together they had three sons. He returned to Warsaw, where he owned and operated Rocky Top Bait & Archery and Ferg's Diner. On October 9, 1994, he married Sue Hollenberg.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue; four sisters: Wanda Fergerson, Charlotte Cornwell, Barbara Johnson, and Donna Antwiler; and three brothers: Bob, Bill, and Arthur Fergerson.
He is survived by his three sons: Jody Fergerson and his wife Nancy of Versailles, Paul Fergerson and his wife Tammy of Versailles, and Robert Fergerson and his wife Kenda of Stover. Jim is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Tara (JJ), Tyler (Alice), Natalie (Justin), Sean, Brystol, Jamie (Derik), Jesse (Kelli), Megan (Mac), Jessica (Tony), Brandon, Jared (Reagyn), and Sarah (Jonathan); and 17 great-grandchildren: Gunner, Paxton, Jackson, River, Karson, Aiden, Olivia, Emmie, Ellie, Addalyn, Amelia, Gage, Lily, Luna, Kash, Kannan, and Kora Jane - with one more on the way.
Also surviving are his sister, Percilla Fergerson of Independence, Missouri, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
