Barbara Sue Tillery

1940 - 2016

Barbara Sue Steele Tillery, 75, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, in Batesville. She was born Aug. 28, 1940, in Bauxite to the late Horace Felton and Bessie Beatrice Steele. Barbara was of Baptist faith, a retired banking assistant for Benton State Bank, a wonderful aunt and a good friend.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Douglas Tillery; four brothers, James Steele, Bob Steele, Edward Steele and Donald Steele; and two sisters, Martha Bell and Linda Kennedy.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Cole, Charlotte Turner, and Phyllis Henderson; two nieces, Libby Austin and Mary Ruth Tillery; two great-nieces, Sarah Marsh and Meagan McCracken; extended Tillery family members; extended Steele family members; and a number of friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton. Bro. Carl Richey will perform the service.
Serving as pallbearers are Ralph Tillery, Eric Marsh, Jerrod McCracken, Walter Dodd, Howard Rusher and Stanley Dodd. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Saline County.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
