Alfred "Al" Timpane

1956 - 2022

Alfred Thomas Timpane, 1956 - 2022, passed away November 17, 2022 at the age of 66 on the dance floor, grooving to Franklin's Tower by the Grateful Dead. He now goes on to join his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Cardiel) Timpane to dance in God's Garden for eternity along with every soul he's ever touched.

Al was born in Pittsfield, MA on August 7, 1956 to Edmund and Madeline (Purificato)Timpane and went on to do and be a great many things in his life - from electrical and software engineer to carpenter - too many to enumerate. He spent his latter years traveling from concert to concert and living life to the fullest. His life ended the way he lived it: on his own terms enjoying what he loved most, without compromise.

He was a man unrivaled in sincerity, unyielding in his truth and beyond compare in his wisdom, he shared his life and deep spiritual connection with everyone he met - spreading love to anyone who he thought needed it. We will be honoring his memory and celebrating his life in the same way.

He is survived by his children: Kristin and Patrick Coyne and Sean and Gary Timpane, his grandchildren: Jalen and Gabriel Coyne-Martinez and Oren and Wyatt Lewis, and his siblings: brother Phil Timpane and wife Sugar, brother Chris Timpane and wife Kathy, sister Kathleen Bourne and husband Michael, and sister Rita Timpane.

Funeral Notice:

Funeral services for Al will be Friday, December 2, 2022, at 5pm at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service, from 3pm to 5pm. A celebration of Al's life will be held at the Tavern at the A, directly after services.
