Carol Lees Williams

1946 - 2025

Carol Lees Williams, 79, of New Lebanon, NY, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Monday, November 17, 2025, due to the effects of a fall the previous day. Born in Bedford, MA, daughter of the late Harry and Marjorie Young Lees, she graduated from Greenwich Academy and later from Bradford Junior College.

Carol began her career at Citibank, where she worked in the Economics Department. For several decades, Carol also taught parenting at the Early Childhood Development Center in New York City. She had been a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church, the New York Junior League, the Colony Club of New York, the Stockbridge Golf Club, the Lenox Club, and The Lenox Garden Club.

Carol's greatest joy was her family, her sons and five grandchildren, whom she showered with unwavering love and affection.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Williams, of New York City and New Lebanon, NY, whom she married in May of 1971. She leaves behind her son, Thomas, (Elizabeth) of Los Angeles, CA, and their children, Henry and Anne, and her son David (Kathleen), of New Canaan, CT, and their children, Andrew, Ryan, and Jack.

Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, Richard Lees.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later date, notice of which will be published once details are finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Berkshire Botanical Garden in Stockbridge, MA, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
