NORTH ADAMS -- Catherine Ethel Lewis, 58, of 1489 Cain's Road, Auburn, Ga., formerly of North Adams, died Tuesday at home.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 2, 1949, daughter of the late William E. and Ruth Post Lewis, she attended local schools.
Ms. Lewis was a homemaker. She lived in Arizona until moving to Georgia in 2003.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening and crafts.
While in North Adams, she attended the former Incarnation Church.
She leaves her longtime companion, Richard Parsons, with whom she resided; three sons, William Andrews of North Adams, Charles Barrett of Auburn, Ga., and Jeremy Barrett of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers, William Lewis of Chesapeake, Va., David Lewis of North Adams and Bruce Lewis of Clinton; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Catherine Lewis, who died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the family plot in Hillside Cemetery in North Adams. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County, in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements. She also leaves four grandchildren, Donna Marie Beliveau, Lacy Thompson, Jeremy Wade Barrett and Cassie Andrews; a great-granddaughter, Shaylynn Twing; and nieces and nephews.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
