Constance Nassif Obituary

Constance (Connie) Nassif of Dalton, MA passed away peacefully at age 93 with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Sedgewick dementia unit of Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox, MA. Connie was born in North Adams, MA on September 14, 1932, daughter of the late Gordon and Helen Harrington. She graduated from Drury High School in 1950 where she met her husband Fuad A. Nassif whom she married on June 28, 1952. She worked at Sprague Electric Co. in the sales department before the couple moved to Pittsfield in 1955 when her husband began his employment with General Electric Co. and later to Dalton in 1968, where they raised their five children. Connie worked part-time for England Brothers department store and later became office manager for Merriam Graves Corp. in Pittsfield from 1977 to 1995.

Connie enjoyed cooking, sewing, swimming, tennis, and skiing, but most of all, camping with Fuad and the children and attending all of their various school and sporting events. She meticulously planned and packed for camping trips-often to Cape Cod and Lake George but sometimes as far as Florida's Disney World. Prior to retirement, she and Fuad traveled to Germany, and thereafter to Italy, France, Spain and London.

Connie was fiercely loyal, selfless, and always put her family first. She was happiest surrounded by family during holidays and special gatherings. A natural homemaker and excellent seamstress, Connie also dabbled in the stock market, often making shrewd decisions despite not having a college degree.

She adored being a grandmother and great-grandmother, hosting many weekends in Dalton at the backyard inground pool where she spoiled her grandchildren and created memories that will last a lifetime.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Fuad Nassif, her dear son, Dr. Gary M. Nassif (September 5, 1993), and her sister Joyce Richard. Connie leaves behind four children: Gail Nassif of Albany, NY, Sharyn Thoms (Ross) of Nashua, NH, Lynn Lynch of West Boylston, MA, and James Nassif of Wells, ME; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces/nephew.

Connie's family is profoundly grateful for the gift of her love, guidance, and joyful spirit. She will be remembered as the heart of her family, the ultimate role model, and the source of countless treasured memories.

Condolences to the Nassif family. Our family and the Nassif's were close friends in Dalton. Playing hoop in their driveway was a great memory. Mrs. Nassif was a kind and gentle soul.
