Donna H. Patrie

1944 - 2022

Donna Helen Patrie, 78 of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of December 1, 2022 at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center. She was born on April 27, 1944 in Springfield, MA to Roy and Marjorie Williams Lambson. Her mother passed away in 1948 when Donna was just 4 years old. She was raised in Springfield and New Jersey.

She married Ronald Pugh on February 1, 1964 and had four children. She graduated from Elohim Bible Institute, Castile, NY in 1974 while raising her children. They eventually settled in Blandford. Her husband passed away in 1985. She married Richard Diodati on May 27, 1988. He was tragically killed in an accident in 1989. On January 11, 1992 she married Leonard Patrie. They spent many years building their beautiful lake home in Wales, MA, constructing terraced gardens and hosting Fourth of July picnics for extended family and friends. Donna was happiest when she was working in her gardens alongside Lenny. He passed away on December 28, 2014. She came to live with her son, David and eventually bought her own home in Pittsfield, MA. There too, she loved to work in her yard and also developed a love of tracing her ancestors. She spent countless hours pouring over records, creating the story of her family.

Donna leaves her children Marjorie (Greg) Middleton of Otis, David (Lisa) Pugh of Dalton, Ron (Kristen) Pugh of Ossining, NY, and Stephan (Sandee) Pugh of Chicopee along with her grandchildren Anthony, Gordon and Simah Middleton, Abigail, Grace, and Brendan Pugh, Max and Chloe Pugh, and Mason and Kayley Pugh. She also has two great granddaughters, Jadah and Evelyn Middleton. She leaves a half-brother, Roy Lambson of Arizona. She leaves her Ya-Ya sisters Carole Rhys, Cheryl Mellis, Pam Nelson, and Diane Williams. She also leaves stepchildren given to her through her loving husband, Lenny. Christopher (Ann) Patrie, Matthew (Jen) Patrie, Jeremiah Patrie, Danielle (Mike) Morin, and grandchildren Kyle, Cheyenne, Jason (predeceased), Dylan, Michelle, Katrina and great grandchildren Sophie, Lucian, Lenora, and Bentley.

Donna had a deep and abiding faith that gave her strength and inspiration throughout her life.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene, 165 North Street, Dalton. Rev. Adam Ziegler, Pastor will be officiating.
