Doris LaBlue Obituary
Doris was born on September 29, 1928 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Edwin and Dorothy (Coty) Steinman.
She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1946 and was employed at Berkshire Life Insurance Company after graduation.
She was married to Arthur LaBlue in 1947 until his death in 1991. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her son, Arthur (Artie) LaBlue, and her brother, Edwin (Butch) Steinman.
Over the years, her employment included Berkshire Medical Center, Quality Printing and the Berkshire Eagle.
Doris is survived by four daughters, Sandra Hokanson, Sally Madaychik (Andrew), Shirley Bailly (Rick Backer) and Shelley LaBlue Murphy. She also leaves ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother who attended every birthday, wedding, anniversary, and graduation, whenever possible. Her family is especially thankful for their precious memories of her.
Family will receive friends at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice in her memory.

Sandy, Sally, Shirley, and Shelley and families, We are so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. Doris was such a good and special lady! We will never forget the trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City that she took with our parents and later our Mom. Such fun times for them!! Doris and our Mom were really good friends and we are thankful that we were able to know her for so many great years. We hope your memories of your Mom will make you smile. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Doris!
