Elaine Oakes Obituary
Mrs. Oakes was salesperson at Sears for 45 years, retiring in 2007.
She is survived by her son, Kim A. Oakes and wife Patty of Hinsdale, MA.; Brother Leon Phelps of Pittsfield, MA, and Keith Phelps of TX., Sister, Dawn Breck of Utah. She leaves grandchildren; Todd Oakes of PA.; and Neesha Oliver of MA.; step-grandchildren; April Benson of Lanesboro MA., Steven Martin of Delaware, Kimberly Martin of MA., 2 great-grandchildren; Brody Oakes and Declan Oliver, four step-great-grandchild; Derek Cady, Jermery Cady, Kelly Martin, and Sean Martin; one step-great-grandchild; Bentley Cady. She also leaves several nieces & nephews.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Robert Phelps and wife Gracie, sister Sandy Phelps, Gloria Wells and husband Larry.
Graveside services will be held in the spring of 2026. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice of the Berkshires in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA 01226
