Elise M. Marshall

1945 - 2025

Mrs. Elise M. Marshall, of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, just months after celebrating her 80th birthday. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on August 12, 1945, daughter of the late Donald and Mildred Dame Murray, she graduated Wahconah Regional High School.

For much of her career, Elise was employed by General Electric, where she worked in their food service department. She also enjoyed her time waitressing at Jacob's Restaurant, building long-lasting relationships with customers who became friends.

Elise is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce A. Marshall, whom she, on September 5, just celebrated her 61st wedding anniversary. She leaves behind her daughters, Aimee Marshall (Tim Knollmeyer), and Colleen Marshall, as well as her grandson, the joy of her life, Nicholas Marshall. She is also survived by her brother Robert "Gus" Murray (Marylynn), and many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Besides her parents, Elise was predeceased by her siblings Margaret "Peggy" Greb and Donald Murray.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Carol Bigwood, who cared for Elise every single day-her amazing friendship, love, and support did not go unnoticed.

Funeral Notice:

Funeral services for Mrs. Elise M. Marshall will be private and burial will be at a later date. All are welcome to greet the family at Proprietor's Lodge on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm.
