Elizabeth Lyon Obituary
Born in Pittsfield on March 12, 1931 to Walter and Albena Merriam Messer, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She married Edmonds Lyon, Jr. on February 3, 1950. He predeceased her October 4, 1998.
Mrs. Lyon was a dog breeder and a communicant of St. Mark Church.
She is survived by her children, Edmonds Lyon, III, of Pittsfield, Norine Panetti of Pittsfield, Gerald Lyon of Pittsfield, Charles Lyon of NC, Darlene Batory of Pittsfield, Robert Lyon of New Ashford, Tammy Rose of Pittsfield and Kimberly Lyon of Pittsfield. Sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Notice: Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, with a funeral home service to follow at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Lyon's name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
