Born in North Adams on June 16, 1916, daughter of Eli J. and Mary Chalifoux Sorel, she attended local schools, including the former Notre Dame School.
Mrs. Cote was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1970.
She was a communicant of St. Francis’ Church and a former communicant of Notre Dame Church. She was a past president of the Senior Citizens Club and of Le Cercle Francais, and a member of the Ashland Park Tenants Association, the Sprague Retirees and Quarter Century Club and TOPS.
After retiring, she traveled and organized tours.
Her first husband, Leo J. Andrews, whom she married April 26, 1934, died May 14, 1964.
Her husband, Normand Cote, whom she married Dec. 14, 1968, died Aug. 13, 1975.
She leaves a son, Thomas A. Andrews of North Adams; a daughter, Barbara Sage of North Adams, with whom she resided; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Leo J. Andrews Jr.
