Frederic Trzcinka Obituary

Mr. Frederic Trzcinka, 90,. of Pittsfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Born in Housatonic, MA, on July 1, 1935, son of the late Ben and Stella Trzcinka, he graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1954 and later, in 1973, from Clarkson University with his degree in Industrial Engineering.

Shortly after high school, Fred enlisted in the United States Marines. He proudly served his country beginning in 1957 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1960, though, as the saying goes - "Once a Marine, Always a Marine"!

For the majority of his career, Fred was employed by General Electric, where he worked in their Ordnance Department, It was from there that he retired after over 30 years of dedicated service.

Among many things, Fred's family (German Shepherds included!) was of utmost importance to him. He was a man of faith and lived his life accordingly. Fred was an active volunteer for St. Mark's Church and also enjoyed donating his time to The Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, and Hurricane Relief.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, the former Roberta Robert, whom he married on August 24, 1968. He leaves behind his sister, Barbara Conway (Robert), brother-in-law, Tony Venturini, and niece Patti Janchuk. Fred is also survived by many in the Robert family, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa Venturini and Patricia Trzcinka.

Though Fred will be sorely missed, his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known him. Until we meet again, "Semper Fi"!

Funeral services for Mr. Frederic Trzcinka will be Friday, December 5, 2025, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. John Salatino, Pastor. Burial will be private and at a later date. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark's Church in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home. Please visit www.dwyerfuneral.com to leave condolences and remembrances.

Roberta, and family, we are truly very sorry to hear about Fred's passing. He was such a gentle kind man and a great neighbor all these years to all of us, Molaris. When my father, Richard passed away, every morning Fred would come over with a big tray of food, a hug and smile that warmed up our home. We are forever grateful for both Fred and Roberta's acts of kindness. We send love to you, Roberta. Love, Susan & Craig

All I know is he will be missed by everyone who knew him. He could always make us laugh. He was so good to my boys singing them to sleep when they would fuss. I am so sorry Roberta for your loss.

Dear Roberta, We are so sad to read of Freddie´s passing. He was always so happy and wanting to help when needed. You both were loving dog sitters for Sophie and it was a true vacation at your "resort" for her! I thought of Freddie often when passing your home heading to our summer home in Lanesborough and always looked for you on your riding mower. God give you strength and hang onto the wonderful memories that you made together. Love Wendy and Pete

Dear Roberta & all of Fred's Family

Pat & I are so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. We are remembering 37 years of friendship, first time at your home meeting Ottos, biggest German Shepard with best heart, dinners at John & Joanne Woolworths home where she made the best meat loaf, according to Fred for his birthday dinner. We are remembering all the laughter, the good times and are thankful for our friendship. May Fred rest in peace, and may God greet him and say, Welcome home my child, you served me well.
