Gertrude M. Miraglia

1927 - 2025

Ms. Gertrude M. Miraglia, 98, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on June 20, 1927, daughter of the late John and Grace McNamara Miraglia, she graduated from St. Joseph High School with the class of 1945.

Always her top priority, Gertrude's family was of utmost importance to her. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own, and would never turn down the opportunity to spend time by their side.

Gertrude not only had a passion for figure skating, but also an unmistakable talent for it. Every winter she could be found effortlessly gliding across the rink in Springside Park, thoroughly enjoying each moment.

Gertrude is survived by her nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored: Gloria Greaves, Daniel Miraglia, Joseph Miraglia and John Miraglia. She leaves behind her 3 great nephews, 1 great niece, 2 great great nieces, and 1 great great nephew, as well as her sister-in-law, Mary Miraglia.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, James Miraglia, Joseph Miraglia, John Miraglia, Daniel Miraglia, and Grace Briggs

Gertrude's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Mt. Greylock ECF, as well as to HospiceCare in the Berkshires. Their kindness, compassion, and care throughout this time did not go unnoticed.

Funeral Notice:

Funeral services for Gertrude will be Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Matthew Barone, Pastor. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gertrude's memory can be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or Mt. Greylock ECF in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
