Hal Linker Obituary
1957 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Mr. Hal J. Linker, 57, of Holmes Rd., passed away after a brief illness on March 9. Born on April 7, 1957, in Pittsfield, the son of Harold and Shirley Watkins Linker, he was a 1975 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. Link had worked at Goodyear for many years. He had also worked driving for All Star Trucking and had previously owned his own Auto shop. He was currently a PCA for his fiance. Link was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and motorcycles. He had built many off road trucks and had helped organize the Mud Bog Races in Plainfield, Mass. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Link also had a passion for music; he was an accomplished guitar player and had played in many area bands as well as organizing open mic nights. He is survived by his fiance, Mary Jean Coty of Pittsfield; children, Adam and Torrie; a sister, Daryl Linker of Hinsdale; a brother, Raymond Linker of Pittsfield; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, at 9 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church in Dalton, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, March 13, from 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter care of the Dwyer Funeral Home in his memory. There will also be a benefit and celebration of Link's life in a few weeks on a date to be announced. Please visit www.dwyerfuneral.com to leave condolences and remembrances.

I really miss jamming with Link. I think about him often. He was a really great guy and an awesome friend. I still have his phone number in my phone because I don't want to delete it. Seeing his name once in a while gives me a good feeling and creates fond memories. Hal was one of the most kind and generous people I've ever met. "Sweet Nectar" my good friend.

I just personally wanted to thank all of you for all of your prayers. hugs and support through this sad time in our lives. He is smiling down on us and loves when we tell a great story about him that makes us laugh. There will be a celebration of Links life on April 12th at the Dalton VFW at 1 o'clock.
