1929 - 2016 Henry A. "Bud" Lawrence Jr. 86 of 2 Bernard Gibbons Drive, Great Barrington, died on Thursday June 30, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Lee, MA on July 18, 1929 son of Henry A. Sr. and Eleanor Lomas Lawrence. He was a graduate of Leicester High School, Leicester, MA. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, with the 209 Military Police Company in the Far East. He moved to Stockbridge in 1952 and then to Housatonic where he has lived since 1964. He worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Mead Corporation, South Lee for 38 years retiring in 1990.Bud was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church, Housatonic. He was a member of the James A. Modolo VFW Post 8348 and was a past Senior Vice Commander in 1976. He leaves his second wife Amelia T. Biasin Koldys whom he married on December 27, 1996, two sons, Henry A. "Hal" Lawrence III and his wife Jean of Belchertown, MA, and David A. Lawrence, of Pittsfield, two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Rickards of Carrabelle, FL, and Dana K. Del Grande of North Carolina, three grandchildren Joseph Rickards, Nicholas Del Grande, and Julie Del Grande, and several nieces and nephews, among them Marlene Koloski who was a loving caring niece who assisted him. Bud was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa Koloski Lawrence whom he married on December 29, 1951 and died August 24, 1992, one brother, Donald W. Lawrence and two sisters, Harriet Vincent and Mary Jane Almstead. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Henry A."Bud" Lawrence who died June 30, 2016 will be private in keeping with Bud's wishes. Hal & Jean, Sandy & Ricky, David, and Dana,
The memories of Uncle Bud will always remain in my soul. We had some good laughs. Both Nori & I enjoyed our visits with him in April '15. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone and know he is at peace with Aunt Theresa.

My parents so enjoyed the many Sunday visits from Aunt Mel and Bud. After my father died, they continued to visit Mom. We all loved Bud and enjoyed him being a part of our family. We are sorry he is gone.

My uncles were always a strong light in my life - Uncle Bud being right there with them. When Dad would come home on leave from the military, Uncle Bud was always right there for us when we arrived. I live with many fond memories of fun times with Bud while growing up and will cherish them forever. My love and sympathy go out to you all. Hal, Sandy, David, and Dana... Michael

I spent many an hour at the family home of the Lawrence's when I was growing up. I have many found memories of those times. I have one of Bud that sticks in my head of him trying to do a brake job on something in the driveway, maybe it was the Valiant !
My deepest heartfelt condolences to Dave, Hal and Jean, Sandy and Dana and the rest of the Lawrence family. Rest in Peace Bud !
